SHORT UPDATE! Went over to Bangsar the other day for a bit with my bestie. We stopped by this charming looking cafe called Coffea Coffee! Best decision ever! It was a cute cafe with good coffee and good service!

I absolutely adore the modern design of this cafe! The play of raw materials is wonderful! Concrete textures and raw timber go very nicely together!

Bestie ordered a Green Tea Latte whereas I ordered a Vanilla Latte! Super delicious and smooth. Not too sweet either! Loved it! Price ranges from RM11 - RM20.

Over all, super loved this cafe. Bestie and I stayed there's for quite a while, chit chatting and sipping on our coffee. The environment was great and the baristas/waiters were all really friendly! Greeted us with smiles and well wishes! Would definitely go back there for a cup of coffee whenever I'm in Bangsar!

HI HI! Very sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been so busy with studies. But I'm back! Here with a SHORT UPDATE about Mr. and Ms. Cafe in Oasis Ara Damansara! :D Bestie and I wanted to go for a snack and coffee break, so we decided to try out this cafe!

A photo summary of the whole cafe! Left side is a cute little corner with cushions; I suppose it caters to families with kids cause there's room to play there. Right side is normal seating area. Simple and comfy cafe.

Bestie and I snacked on a "Mr. and Ms." Caesar Salad (RM17.90) and "Mr. and Ms." Bruschetta Platter (RM16.90). The salad was nothing special, but you can't go wrong with Caesar Salad, right? The bruschetta was pretty good and really filling! I was pleasantly surprised!

For dessert, we had some coffee and pancakes! YUM! It looks good right? That's because it WAS GOOD! Bestie had a latte (RM8, I think) and I had a cappucino (RM8). Sorry to say, but I don't remember the price of the pancakes but the price range of the cafe is from RM10 - RM25; the pancakes were RM20++ if not mistaken. It was pretty good! We were so happy after eating it all! SUPER YUM.

Over all, a nice experience. Definitely a cute place to go to when you want to catch up with your friends. I think it's best to go for their desserts! The dessert portion is good for sharing with friends! But their food could be better.

I happen to have stumbled upon this adorable cafe in Paradigm, while window shopping with my bff. It's a Japanese cafe which sells food, coffee, desserts, pastries and bread! It got so excited when I saw their displays! SO MUCH SWEETS! I have a sweet tooth so desserts are always a favourite. 

This is what you see before you are indulged with many pretty displays of desserts!

These are the first things I saw! CAKES! They look so pretty! I was trying to hard to control myself from over-spending.

They have macarons, cheese cake and pudding too! This got me extra excited!

View from my seat. I love the floor tiles! The 3-dimensional feel to it kind of makes the cafe stand out really well in the mall.

I ordered the Green Tea pudding (RM5.50) which was really delicious and creamy! Texture is similar to caramel pudding but the green tea flavour was very strong and nice! And also 3 macarons (RM4 each). Yellow : Mango, Black : Black Plantine and Turqoise : Blue Cacao. A little expensive for me, but luckily the macarons were VERY good and size was relatively big. Nice in texture, crunchy surface but chewy insides, which is how macarons should be like! My favourite is the Blue Cacao! Super good!

As for coffee, bff ordered a Vanilla latte (the one with Hello Kitty) whereas I ordered a Hazelnut Latte. The Hazelnut Latte was really good! So smooth and not too sweet! It was a refreshing cup of coffee! Loved it! Both drinks at RM11.90 each!

I bought the original flavoured pudding and Hajuku Cheesecakes to bring back home! I can't help but feel happy while eating these two. The pudding is very similar to caramel pudding, it even has the caramel at the bottom of the tub. Texture is nice and smooth; a little egg-y so if most of you don't like that flavour then I'm not too sure if you will like this. The cheesecakes on the other hand, texture is like mousse, very soft and easy to eat. Though it's very small, it's very very filling! Not too sweet which I like. Highly recommended!

DETAILS : 

I would like to point out that this cafe's logo is extremely cute and simple! I like how the Japanese keep things minimal. Such a memorable statement piece.

I would say, one of my favourite dessert places! How can you not love Japanese desserts right? I absolutely love it! And would go back many many times!

After I saw Chuckei (a famous local blogger)'s Instagram about the cute latte art made by the barista from Coffee Stain by Joseph, I just HAD to go try it out, and challenge the artist to draw something cute for me!

Here is what I ordered! A hot Mocha! And I challenged the barista to draw for me, TOTORO, from the Studio Ghibli movie, My Neighbour Totoro! She did a pretty good job too! Too adorable! Took me a while to drink my Mocha because I was too busy admiring the latte art.

View from my seat. It's a pretty comfortable cafe. On the table, they display the different coffee beans from different countries. They even have the most expensive coffee bean called Luwak, which is harvested from Civet poop ... yes ... POOP.

DETAILS :

There's a lovely mural at the cafe of the map of the world, made of the names of the countries! Something nice to look at.

Overall, a pretty okay cafe. I'd definitely go back to challenge the barista again for sure. The coffee however was alright. Good on my part, but can be much better. Room for improvement!

There's this adorable cafe restaurant called LOKL that I've heard of over at Jalan Tun H. S. Lee. I had the time to visit the place and yes, it is extremely adorable! It's very difficult to get there though, since Jalan Tun H. S. Lee is a busy one-way road, but regardless, it's a place to go and visit at least once in your life.

I tried to grab a panoramic view of the cafe but, as you can see, was somewhat unsuccessful. Sorry. But from this photo (look from right to left), the entrance is on your right, and it leads to the cashier/dessert station on the left. In the middle, the space is connected to a courtyard that caters for the back packers staying in the Back Home. The cafe is kind of small so best to go off peak hours.

Here's a closer look at the courtyard! It's really charming, in my opinion. You can take a few minutes to explore the area while waiting for your food.

When I was there, I had the Mandarin Orange Chicken Chop with a side of salad (which also had Mandaring oranges in it). It was interesting in flavour, I quite enjoyed it, but was a little disappointed by the portion. I was still hungry after the meal. And it wasn't very cheap considering the amount of food served.

Here's a slice of rainbow cake for you! It was pretty nice, like a normal vanilla butter cake.

DETAILS :

I'm in love with the signage above the cashier and also the graphics they framed and hung up on the walls! Gives the space a nice touch of colour against the concrete and tiled finishes. 

Overall, it was a nice visit. A bit pricey so I suggest you go there when you feel like splurging. It's also difficult to drive there so I suggest taking the LRT to Masjid Jamek station and visit the place when you want to take a rest. It's a nice place to chill in and chit chat with friends.

This is an extremely hidden restaurant, at a sharp corner of row SS15/4B. It doesn't have much of a facade to it, but if you look hard enough, you'll see the Pattern Store located right in front of the actual restaurant itself, and there you go, Grafa appears. 

This is the Pattern Store I mentioned. It sells pricey hipster stuff. I like the display though. They used timber pallets to show off their sale items!

I like this little corner of Grafa. All the colours and textures compliment each other (except for that fan!).

From this view, you can see the chalk board menu. They don't display the price though, you have to check that in the menu itself.

Seating areas on the outside. I really like the used of pallets! Well done! Utilizing recyclable materials in a pretty tasteful way!

On the left is a Chicken Wing dish (I don't remember what it's called). The sauce tastes like it has Marmite in it. How nostalgic! On the right, is Spaghetti and meatballs. Nothing special really, the taste of the spaghetti wasn't rich or something memorable, BUT the portion is HUGE. I kid you not! It is massive! So if you're the kind that goes for portion instead of savoury flavour, Grafa is the right place to go!

On the left, Ice Longan Tea (which is something awesome to have on a hot day) and Iced Mocha! The Mocha was alright, nothing special as well. And on the right, is a plate full of creamy spaghetti (I don't remember what it's called but I remember that the portion was so big that I couldn't finish it). 

 DETAILS :

I know this is just a basin to your guys, but just look at it! I love this corner! It's such a nice corner for washing your hands! Or is it just me?

Overall, nothing special. The food was alright. Ambiance was alright too. Lacks depth in the restaurant. It's slightly different at night though. Quite crowded and loud! But overall, just ok.

DREAMZ BAKERY - FIRST POST

Welcome to my foodie blog! I will be known as the so-called Connoisseur. So what's left to do? A blog post about food, coffee and cafes of course! LET'S BEGIN! 

I'll start off this blog with a review of a recent cafe I've just visited. It was my second time going there. 

DREAMZ BAKERY

My best friend found this bakery and brought me over cause she thought I'd love how cute it is. AND I DO! It's really an adorable little bakery. Location wize, it's a little strange. It's on an obscure part of Kota Damansara, where the offices and workshops are. It's also one floor up so it's not very easy to find, but when you do find it, there'll be cute signboards guiding you to the bakery!

This is the signage you'll see at the entrance of the bakery (on ground floor). CUTE? I think so too.

Here are the plants that greet you before going up to the bakery! These are too cute! Adds so much character to the place.

View from my seat. They have laminated timber floors so they prefer to have customers come in without their shoes on so note : Leave shoes outside before entering!

You can see part of the drinks menu on the chalk board! Not bad considering the presentation and portion. And please, a few seconds to appreciate the murals ... SO CUTE!

Bff and I order some tea and dessert! The tiramisu was super good and not too sweet, which I like.

The drinks were refreshing; can't go wrong with tea right?

On my first visit earlier this year, I tried their mille crepe and they were pretty good! I especially liked their Green Tea mille crepe! Give it a try.

DETAILS :

The deco of the bakery is quaint, with nice mix of pastel colours and adorable drawings, like, everywhere. I especially like how they made deco out of cardboard and stuck it onto the wall. And look at the cage used as light housing! So nice!

This is the wall that's part of their more private area, for bigger groups that want to chill at the bakery.

I actually really like the cafe. It's adorable and a place that's nice to sit in and just relax. Also a good place to keep ordering desserts whenever you're craving sweets (especially for us PMS-ing girls who constantly crave food food food).
